Italian Rugby Underwear Campaign

Those frisky Italians are back. This time it’s the Italian National Rugby Team enlisted by Dolce & Gabbana for the company’s latest underwear advertising campaign. Under the direction of photographer Randall Mesdon, players Sergio Parisse, Denis Dallan, Ezio Galon, Andrea Masi and Gonzalo Canale stripped down to their skivvies showing off their pecs, abs and everything below.

WTF: Italian Lifeguard Sends Blow Up Doll to the Rescue

Other than to see if they have their shirts off, I rarely even notice the lifeguards sitting in the towers. That must have been the mentality of one Italian lifeguard watching over the beaches of a resort in northwest Italy last week. After briefly leaving his post at the Imperia resort, a lifeguard reportedly dressed a blow-up doll to monitor his shift.

Gorgeous Italian motorcycle cop, Fabrizio Chiazza, has been voted the world’s sexiest man in Gaydar.co.uk’s hotly contested ‘Sex Factor’ competition. Lucky Fabrizio cops total prize money of 15,000 euros, plus a coveted modelling contract with Gaydar.co.uk. Fabrizio won the uniforms section, as well as being voted overall Sex Factor winner.

Last month, Nolita created a grotesque fashion ad featuring an anorexic actress to help combat eating disorders. This week, an ad featuring a new born baby with a 'homosexual' bracelet was designed to help counter discrimination against gays.

Suspended Vatican Official Swears He's Not Gay

Monsignor Tommaso Stenico has lashed out against Vatican officials for suspending him after he appeared in recent Italian television documentary about gay priests. In a recent interview with Italian daily newspaper, La Repubblica, Stenico defended himself, saying that he is not gay and has remained faithful to his vow of celibacy.

Italy Grants Legal Rights To Unmarried Same-Sex, Heterosexual Couples

The Italian government announced Thursday the approval of legislation granting unmarried same-sex and heterosexual couples legal rights extended to married couples.
Equal Opportunity Minister Barbara Pollastrini told the AP that if Parliament passes the legislation, unmarried couples who live together can immediately begin to enjoy some legal protections, such as the same hospital visitation rights as spouses and relatives.

Italian Police Officer Killed by Rioting Soccer Fans

The rioting outside Catania's Angelo Massimino stadium started during the second half. Police fired tear gas that wafted into the stadium and forced a delay. During the riot, 38-year-old officer Filippo Raciti was struck in the face by a small explosive while attempting to deal with fighting outside the stadium. He was taken to hospital but died from his injuries.

Italian Group Commerates Gay Man's Suicide During Vatican Protest

A group of gay rights activists rallied near the Vatican Saturday to commemorate the suicide of a gay Italian man in St. Peter's Square nine years ago. The group of a few dozen gathered on the edges of the square, carrying banners and waving rainbow flags, a symbol of gay rights movements.
